The original Mavic Mini was a top seller. Compact and convenient, it was a great introduction for newcomers to the hobby. Now DJI has a brand new drone. The Mini 2 keeps everything customers loved about the original and adds some great key upgrades. It is much better.

This drone does not require FAA registration.. Just Buy it & Fly it.

The camera has a three-axis gimbal to keep it steady, but now it has 4K video with 4X digital zoom. At the same time, the drone's motors have been upgraded to resist winds up to 24 miles per hour.

Flies great indoors too.

With the Fly More Combo you'll be getting several useful extras that will let you fly more! Each of the Mini 2's intelligent flight batteries gives you 31 minutes of flight time. (plan on 26 minutes) By adding a charging hub and two more batteries, this combo allows for a solid hour of airtime. It also comes with a carrying case and two additional pairs of spare propellers, just in case. You WILL need them. I use 4 batteries.. 3 in the charger and one in the aircraft.

Fly farther to capture stunning 4K aerial videos with the Mini 2 from DJI. Utilizing DJI's OcuSync 2.0 2.4/5.8 GHz wireless transmission technology, the Mini 2 can be operated from up to 6.2 miles away while still providing you with video of what the drone sees. The Mini 2 can also be flown as high as 2.5 miles and withstand up to 24 mph winds, all while maintaining a compact, foldable design that weighs only 8.8 oz. It's small and light enough to take with you almost anywhere.

Using a handful of different pre-programmed drone flight patterns, you can use the DJI Fly app to quickly take professional-level videos. You can choose from Dronie, Helix, Rocket, Circle, or Boomerang modes. Once captured, the DJI Fly app lets you add filters and soundtracks and share your work directly to social media platforms.

With aerial photography, the canvas is vast, which is why DJI gives you multiple options of capturing it all with panorama modes. You can choose from Wide-Angle, 180°, or Sphere panoramas. The Mini 2 automatically does the rest.

With video transmission range up to 6.2 miles and a maximum altitude of 12,600 feet, you can fly this drone farther and higher than you might expect.

Caution.. FAA limits you to 400 feet altitude above ground in most areas.

Making it easy

The included excellent remote controller is a dock for your Smartphone, which becomes your display when you use the DJI Fly app. The app does way more than just control the drone though. I use an iPhone 7 Plus. With comprehensive tutorials, a wide selection of video modes, and intelligent flight features, the user experience is robust and beginner-friendly. It's easy to start learning to fly. Before you know it, you'll be flying the drone with confidence. Consider getting a lanyard for the controller to hold it while you deal with the drone. I am so glad I did.

I use and highly recommend an iPhone 7 Plus or later for the larger screen. I tried a mini iPad and it was clumsy.

You can also edit your footage directly within the Fly app. Built-in filters, background music, and professionally designed video templates help you splice together cool content in minutes. Connect to SkyPixel, DJI's social media platform, to share your creations with other hobbyists in the community.
